Report: Porsche Macan Turbo to get 370-hp, hybrid model to be offered later down the line

Porsche is gearing up for the launch of its next important model, officially know as the Porsche Macan. The Porsche Macan will be the brand’s second crossover and will fit under the Cayenne as a competitor to the likes of the Range Rover Evoque.

According to new details coming for the UK, the entry-level Porsche Macan will be powered by a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine making 220-hp. The engine will allow the Macan to go from – to 62 mph in 7.6 seconds with a top speed of 143 mph. Moving up to the Porsche Macan S, power will come from a 3.6 liter V6 making 395-hp.

The Porsche Macan Turbo will use a twin-turbo 3.0 liter V6 making 370-hp and 400 lb-ft of torque.

The company will also offer a 190-hp diesel and a 2.0 liter TDI making 250-hp. Later down the line, Porsche is expected to offer a hybrid Macan. There is also talk of a 3.0 liter V6 diesel from Audi making 309-hp.
