At the Barrett-Jackson Auction-Orange County through June 22-24 in Orange County, California, SRT will team up with the charity foundation to auction off the first production Viper. Barrett-Jackson is the official charity of the American Le Mans Series.

“We are thrilled that SRT has chosen us to be a part of this extraordinary opportunity,” said Dr. Jim Osborn Co-founder of the Austin Hatcher Foundation. “We are tremendously excited to see the 2013 SRT Viper. It is an amazing vehicle. We are also very excited that the first production Viper be auctioned at Barrett- Jackson Orange County to benefit the many families faced with pediatric cancer. We just can’t thank Mr. Gilles and his team enough.”

Refresher: Power for the 2013 SRT Viper comes from an all-aluminum, mid-engine 8.4-liter V10 that makes 640 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a Tremec TR6060 6-speed manual transmission with a shorter throw shifter, closer gear ratios and a final drive ratio that has been shortened to 3.55 from 3.07.
