2013 Lexus GS 450h Hybrid price starts at $58,950

Lexus has announced pricing details on the new 2013 GS 450h, which completes the GS lineup after the recently launched GS 350 and GS 350 F-Sport. The model will be hitting dealerships next month with a starting price tag of $58,950 (not including a delivery, processing and handling fee of $875).

The 2013 Lexus GS 450h Hybrid is powered by a 3.5 liter V6 engine mated to a compact, high-output, water-cooled permanent magnet electric motor. The two powerplants drive the rear wheels both independently and in tandem, as needed. Together, the unit produces an nice 338 horsepower, allowing for a 0 to 60 mph time of 5.6 seconds with a top speed of 131 mph. The 2013 Lexus GS 450h also features a Drive Mode selector that allows for Normal mode along with Sport S, Sport S+ and EV modes.

The 2013 Lexus GS 450h Hybrid gets an EPA estimated fuel-economy rating of 29/34 mpg (city/highway) and 31 mpg combined. The GS 450h is certified as a Super-Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle (SULEV).

Available options include Lexus Enform App Suite, navigation, a Pre-Collision System, a Night Vision System, Heads Up Display, Blind Spot Monitor, and Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning.

Prices for the non-hybrid 2013 Lexus GS 350 start at $46,900.
