BMW delivers 40 of 4,000 vehicles for London Olympics

BMW Group has been made the Official Automotive Partner to the 2012 London Olympic & Paralymic Games for this summer’s upcoming event.

The automaker has delivered its first 40 vehicles of the diverse fleet have been delivered, with livery, to help handle the LOCOG’s unique demands. Included in the fleet are hybrid, electric, and diesel cars, as well as motorcycles and bicycles.

Paul Deighton, LOCOG’s CEO says “The BMW fleet will become a familiar sight around our venues this summer and will help us perform a huge range of tasks to will help to ensure the smooth running of the Games. Taking delivery of the first vehicles is an exciting moment for us as we continue our preparation for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.”
