Toyota today dropped a teaser of what it calls an ‘all-new U.S.-designed sedan’ that it will show at the 2012 New York Auto Show next week.
“The sedan’s exciting new design features an elegant yet athletic look,” Toyota said in a statement.
While we’re not sure whether the sedan will show up in production or concept form, it is widely reported that dealers who have seen the car said that Toyota calls it the ‘Avalon’ successor.
From the teaser we can tell that the model will be a huge departure from Toyota’s boring design language. It also seems that the sedan will follow the four-door-coupe like design as the Volkswagen CC, Mercedes-Benz CLS and the Audi A7.
Stay tuned for more information from New York.
