We know that Bentley is reworking the styling on its EXP 9 F SUV, which was unveiled at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show to much criticism. However, the redesign isn’t coming anytime soon. The company will show off the same EXP 9 F SUV Concept that was shown in Geneva at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show next month.

“Getting global reaction from customers and the public is part of the process that the EXP 9 F is going through,” a Bentley spokesman said.

Bentley’s brand engineering chief Rolf Frech has already confirmed that a production model will be built to boost its sales figures. As of right now, Continental range accounts for most of the brand’s sales, with the Mulsanne helping with the rest.

“If you have only two car lines which go nearly equal up and down in their life cycle, then you have to look at what you have to do additionally. We think this is the right car to get a balance,” Frech said. “It gives us an additional chance in emerging markets of the Middle East and China. I think we will get a lot of additional customers.”

Refresher: Power for the Bentley EXP 9 F Concept comes from a 600-h- 6.0 liter twin-turbo W12 engine that’s found in the continental. Bentley says that its 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 or a plug-in hybrid drivetrain could also meet the company’s performance requirements for an SUV.
