Report: Infiniti to debut all-electric sedan concept in New York

We’ve been hearing about an Infiniti electric-vehicle for some time now and no, we’re not talking about the EMERG-E Concept supercar that made its debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show – we’re talking about an everyday Infiniti sedan with total zero-emission driving.

According to The Detroit Bureau, Infinit will show the a concept of a Nissan LEAF based sedan at the 2012 New York Auto Show next month. The car is excepted to feature some styling cue from the ‘G’ lineup and the Infiniti EMERG-E Concept.

The Infiniti battery electric-car will share the same underpinnings as the LEAF but will be ‘more aggressive’ in terms of both looks and performance.

“It was designed to be a luxury vehicle first and an electric vehicle second,” Infiniti marketing manager Sam Chung told the TBD.

Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
