Gas price hits more than $6 a gallon in Alaska

Alaska FlagScared to see the gas prices at your local gas station – well you better be thankful that you don’t live in Alaska where gas has reached more than $6 a gallon.

While Alaska may be one of the country’s biggest oil-producing states, the state still seems to be suffering from high gas prices. GasBuddy.com, a gas-price-tracking site, finds Alaska to be the second-most-expensive state overall for gas prices after Hawaii. Of course, California is third.

The four most expensive gas stations in ALaska are all in one town called Bethel.
