The 2012 New York Auto Show is slowly turning out to be quite an interesting show. Fisker Automotive has just announced that it will debut the first model (out of the three) under the Nina umbrella at the 2012 New York Auto Show.

Check out more news on the 2012 New York Auto Show.

From what we know so far about Fisker’s Project Nina, the company plans on introducing three new plug-in hybrids based on the platform by 2014. The first model will be a mid-sizes luxury sedan that will enter production at the end of 2012. We’re pretty sure a coupe and SUV will also be a part of the project.

In Sept. 2011, Fisker signed a deal with BMW to supply it with anywhere up to 100,000 4-cylinder, turbocharged gasoline engines and other arts per year through 2013. It is understood that Fisker will be using those engines and parts in Project Nina vehicles.
