The 2013 Porsche Boxster just made its world debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. A leaked image from a press conference shows that the Boxster S lapped the Nurburgring Nordschleife in just 7 minutes and 58 seconds – that’s better than the Chevrolet Corvette and the Cadillac CTS-V.
The time is also 12 seconds faster than the outgoing Porsche Boxster S.
Power for the new 2013 Porsche Boxster S comes from a 3.4 liter 6-cylinder engine making 311-hp with a maximum torque of 265 lb-ft. Mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, the Boxster S to run from 0 to 62 mph in 5.1 seconds with a top speed of 173 mph.
Sounds like a mean little drop-top pocket rocket.
