Jeremy Lin is a huge sensation in basketball right now after coming of the bench to lead the Knicks to a 7-game winning streak last month. Lin may now be on his way to a new endorsement contract with Volvo, where the basketball player will be the brand ambassador for the company in China.

Sources say that a deal could be announced very soon.

Lin, who was cut twice by other teams, is now one of the most popular players in the game. He has made it onto the cover of Sports Illustrated for two straight weeks and the cover of Time magazine (Asian edition).

Lin, a former Harvard University player, is the first Chinese- or Taiwanese American to play in the National Basketball Association.

We just hope he’s not endorsing the new Volvo V40 – but then again Kobe Bryant did endorse Smart Cars in China.
