2012 Geneva: Magna Steyr MILA Coupic concept is an coupe SUV, pickup, convertible in one

Here in Swirzerland, Magna Steyr released its sixth concept under the MILA line at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. Known as the Mila Coupic Concept, the main idea behind the study is to create an two-door SUV that converts into pickup or a convertible with room for 5 passengers.

The idea is quite brilliant actually – from the point of utility – since the Mila Coupic Concept offers a huge entry point to the storage area. once the tailgate is dropped and the top is lifted/rolled from the D-pillar to the C-pillar.

“The MILA Coupic is a great illustration of the unique product design and engineering capabilities we can deliver to customers,” said Guenther Apfalter, President of Magna Steyr. “Our customers expect suppliers like Magna to bring them innovative solutions to help them meet the increasingly demanding challenges of this industry. The MILA Coupic multifunctional concept showcases vehicle functionality through flexible seating systems, roof modules and materials.”

We’d actually like to see something like this make it to the market.
