2012 Geneva: 2012 Audi RS4 Avant doesn’t get much attention as a station wagon
No matter what Audi wants to tell me, there is nothing – not one thing – sporty about a station wagon. Either way, as disappointing as it is, the 2012 Audi RS4 Avant made its debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show and the Ingolstadt automaker has no plans to offer the model as a sedan.
Power for the Audi RS4 Avant comes from a 4.2 liter V8 engine making 450-hp at 8,250 rpm with a maximum torque of 317 lb-ft between 4,000 to 6,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission and quattro permanent all-wheel-drive, that helps it jump from standstill to 62 mph in 4.7 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph. That figure can be increased up to 174 mph upon request.
Of course, the Audi RS4 Avant will not be com in to the United States… and to be honest, I’m not to upset about that.
