BMW M3 Limited Edition 500, only five hundred to be made exclusively for UK

BMW of UK will be offering its high-performance fans an exclusive Limited Edition M3 Coupe and Convertible later this month. Known as the BMW M3 Limited Edition 500, the special-edition M3s will be “strictly limited, and suitably patriotic, color palette of Imola Red, Mineral White or Santorini Blue.”

Limited Edition 500… does that mean power has been upgraded to 500-hp? Not at all. 500 just stand for the number of units that will be produced – meaning power still comes from a the 420-hp V8 mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed M DCT transmission.

Each BMW M3 Limited Edition 500 is trimmed with Novillo leather with contrast stitching that complements one of the three exterior colors chosen by the driver. The Imola Red gets Black leather with Mugello Red stitching, Mineral White cars feature Fox Red leather with Black Stitching, and the Santorini Blue features Black leather with Tobago Blue stitching.

Each unit also features an edition badging laser cut into the left-hand side of the dashboard – for example ‘One of 500.’

Prices for the BMW M3 Limited Edition 500 start at £55,690 ($88,800 USD) for the coupe, with the Convertible available from £59,785 ($95,330 USD).
