Report: McLaren F1 successor to debut in May

According to reports, a successor for the McLaren F1 will debut at the 2012 Monaco Grand Prix in May.

Internally, the successor for one of the world’s most exclusive supercars is known as the P12 and will be McLaren Automotive’s second model after the very popular MP4-12C. Sales aren’t expected to start until at least 2014.

The McLaren P12 is currently being designed by McLaren’s chief designer Frank Stephenson and is rumored to have a two-seat configuration unlike the original F1.
