Pictures and details of the 2013 Volkswagen Golf GTI Cabriolet were revealed late last night prior to the car’s public debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. While it wasn’t confirmed at the time of release whether or not the drop-top GTI will be coming to the United States – we now have official word via Facebook.

Output comes in at 207-hp with a maximum torque of 207 lb-ft. Mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic, 0 to 62 mph for the Golf GTI Cabriolet comes in 7.3 seconds with a top speed of 147 mph (2 mph lower than the hatchback).
