Report: Lamborghini SUV concept to debut at 2012 Beijing Motor Show, sales start in 2016

According to a report by Bloomberg, Lamborghini plans on unveiling a SUV concept that we’ve been hearing about at the Beijing Motor Show in April. The automaker is choosing the Chinese market to hold the debut to make a strong presence in the region.

“Chinese customers love their big cars,” Christian Mastro, Lamborghini’s general manager for the Asia-Pacific region, said in a phone interview. “All the brands are making cars more specific for the Chinese market.”

A production version of the model should become available by 2016, a source familiar with the plans said.
