2012 Renault Twingo RS gets F1 inspired styling

Renault is releasing two variants to join its new Twingo model for this coming spring.

The first of the new models is the Renault R.S., which comes with new exterior upgrades such as a new grille that features F1 styling, a rear diffuser, and wheel arch extensions. A Sirius Yellow finish option becomes available for the R.S., along with the design pack, which comes with grey/dark gunmetal grey door mirror housings, lip spoiler, chrome accents around fog lights, and the option of 16 inch ‘emotion’ alloy wheels.

On the inside, Renault sport yellow stitching accents the steering wheel, dash and seating, with gloss black detailing throughout.

A naturally aspirated 1.6-liter 16V motor produces 133hp, with larger breaks to improve the stopping power. The model comes equipped with a standard sport chassis with the option of a cup chassis option lowers height by 4mm. Low emissions and 3 percent fuel savings are also featured.

The Gordini R.S. is the second variant being added to the lineup, and it packs all the premium features as standard, including 17-inch black wheels, automatic climate control, and leather trim. The interior comes with the options of blue or grey, and a selection of exclusive paint colors.
