Chevrolet Sonic to be featured in two Super Bowl ad spots

The Super Bowl isn’t that far off and we’re very excited to see all the commercials – well, all the car commercials. GM, which will have a slew commercials air during the big game, will have one that will plug its new Chevrolet Sonic subcompact, which until now has been marketing on the Internet only.

The Chevrolet Sonic will be featured in two of the seven commercials Chevy plans to air during the game, one of which will be 60 seconds and will show the subcompact bungee jumping and skydiving.

Another 30-second spot will feature animated bugs going for a joy ride while chilling on the grille of the Sonic.

GM sold a total of 5,743 Sonics last month – that’s more than the 5,316 Accents Hyundai sold, more than 5,138 Fits that Honda sold and more than 3,673 Fiesta that Ford sold.

I’d say the Chevrolet Sonic is doing pretty well.
