Last year proved to be a great one for the ultra-luxury segment, with both Bentley and Rolls-Royce brands coming out with impressive sales figures, particularly Rolls-Royce, breaking its previous records.
One of the major contributors to Rolls-Royce’s success is the Phantom Dragon Edition, which the automaker is working hard to meet its demand. Not only is it a highly sought-after model, selling out in just two months, but it is also one of most expensive. At $1.2 million, the Dragon Edition costs just about $800,000 over any standard model.
China is now the number one market for Rolls-Royce, with a 33% increase in millionaires, at least in part, to thank. While Bentley plans to add an SUV to its lineup to boost appeal, Rolls-Royce will certainly be doing all it can to enhance its presence in China.
