Two special automobiles are up for sale on ebay that are sure to be nostalgic for some given mark left on their generation. The pair includes a BMW 8-series and a Porsche 928, both top of the line models.

The BMW is an 850CSi with a manual gearbox, and with no M class released, this is the best of the 8-series one can get. It is powered by a 5.6-liter V12 that puts out 375hp. The model was available form 1992 to 1995, and out of the 1,510 total produced; only 225 of those were available in the states. This one is a 1995 in Daytona Violet paint for the exterior and Lotus White/Violet leather on the inside, with just 29,000 miles on it. Asking price is $65,900.

As for the Porsche 928 GTS, the production years are the same as the BMW, and this one is a 1994 model year. This blue-painted model has upgraded tail lamps and body parts, such as wider fenders. Power comes from a 5.4-liter V8 that puts out 345hp. This model has just 19,000 miles on it, with an asking price of $109,500.

What say all you blog readers out there . Nice price or crack pipe ?

This is a joke, right?  Even in mint condition and with low kms, you would expect change back from $40k for the both of them.  And even then, they would have to be show winners.

I’m not as familiar with the 928 GTS as I am the E31 850CSI. The BMW happens to be my ultimate dream car. Because only 225 exist in this country, give or take a few, it is not uncommon to see one exchange hands for about $40,000-$60,000, though they rarely go for more than $50,000. It is very much a collector’s piece and a car that BMW will probably never make again. In this day and age of fuel conscious buyers, I don’t see a front-engined V12 powered super-GT car in the mix anytime soon.

$67,000 is pushing it, despite the rare color combination and the rare Alpina wheels.
