Video: BMW M5 vs Porsche Panamera S vs Mercedes E63 AMG vs Jaguar XFR

The team over at EVO Magazine decided to put four high-performance Euro-sedans in a head-to-head drag race to settle the debate on which is the king of the segment.

  • BMW M5: Powered by a 4.4L V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo making 560-hp and 502 lb-ft of torque. Mated to a 7-speed M Double Clutch Transmission Drivelogic, the 2012 M5 goes from 0 to 62 mph in 4.4 seconds with a top speed of 190 mph with the M Driver’s Package.
  • Porsche Panamera S: Power comes from a 4.8 liter V8 making 400-hp with a maximum torque of 369 lb-ft. Mated to Porsche’s 7-speed PDK transmission, 0 to 60 mph comes in 5.2 seconds with a top speed of 175 mph.
  • Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG: Power comes from a 6.3L V8 making 518-hp and a maximum torque of 465 lb-ft mated AMG”s SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission. 0 to 60 mph comes in just 4.4 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph.
  • Jaguar XFR: Powered by a 5.4 liter V8 making 510-hp and a peak torque of 461 lb-ft. Coupled with a 6-speed automatic 0 to 60 mph comes in just 4.7 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph.

    what? no CTS-V?  What gives?

    porsche should have a turbo v8 without all wheel, no ctsv because they r smart, & knowing them they would have used a manual the slower model of the ctsv (the faster being the auto)
