German magazine Sport Auto recently took the new 2012 BMW M5 to a track and hit a top speed of an amazing 195 mph. Earlier this month, the magazine also through the M5 around the Hockenheim circuit returning a lap time of 1:12.9, which is supposedly really good since the previous generation M5 lapped the track in 1:15.6.

Sport Auto also clocked a 0 to 62 mph time of 4.1 seconds (that means 0 to 60 mph came in around 4 seconds flat) and a 0 to 124 mph time of 12.4 seconds.

Check out the video after the jump.
