To assist car buyers in making the best informed decision when selecting a model for purchase, Kelley Blue Book, the top provider of both used and new car information, annually releases its Bests Resale Value Awards. The awards are for the vehicles that have, for the first five years of ownership, the best projected retained value.

Excluded from the data are vehicles that have a low volume and those with a sticker price over $60,000, with the exception of high-performance and luxury categories.
