H&R Springs upgrades 2011 BMW 1-Series M Coupe with tuned chassis
We here at egmCarTech are fans of the BMW 1-Series, and, naturally, the 1M Coupe as well. The BMW packs plenty of power and appealing aesthetics into its tiny frame, and provides a solid driving experience. It seems H&R shares our appreciation for the car, as it took on a project for the 1M Coupe that includes its high-quality upgrades, as well as some signature touches.
H&R crafted a sport suspension working with BMW Motorsport for a progressive spring rate, giving a stiffer ride, yet better comfort. The car has been dropped 1.2-inches in the front and 0.6-inches in the rear, evening out the tire gap in the front wheel well. Also, to provide wheel clearance H&R Trak+ Wheel Spacers have been fitted to the car. Sway bars with forged ends have been added at 27mm up front, and 23mm at the rear.
The tuner also brought back the classic BBS RS wheels, as the new BBS Super RS’s, sized 19×9″ in front and 19×10″ for the rear. A set of Continetal ExtremeContact DW tires wrap the front and rear wheels, sized at 245/35ZR19 and 265/35ZR19, respectively.

Stopping power has been upgraded with a Brembo GT 380mm Big Brake Kit with cross drilled rotors and custom Motorsport Blue Calipers. The break coloring gives a nice subtle offset to the exterior paint and detailing.
The interior has been lined with a WeatherTech FloorLiner DigitalFit carpet, digitally measured for a precise fit.
