Pigeon Crosses Road

Earlier this year, a squirrel ran across a track as a Lamborghini LP670-4 SV zoomed by at 100+ mph. Apparently, that squirrel’s best friend is a pigeon who likes to cross busy highways.

You don’t know much about birds, that’s for sure. That’s a cormorant. It’s a black seabird about five times the size of a pigeon. Cormorants are the only seabirds that don’t have water repulsive feathers, they have to dry up in the sun. So the reason this bird is walking instead of flying could simply be that it’s wet. But just as likely it’s injured or sick.
