Production Cadillac XTS to debut at 2011 LA Auto Show

At the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show next month, General Motors will unveil the production version of the 2013 Cadillac XTS, which will replace the STS and DTS.

The Cadillac XTS was previewed by the all-wheel-drive XTS Platinum Concept (pictured here) that made its debut at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show. GM plans to show the production XTS sedan with the CUE infotainment system that made its debut last week.

The Cadillac XTS Platinum Concept is powered by a 3.6L V6 direct-injected gasoline engine mated to a plug-in hybrid system. Working together, the system makes a total output of 350-hp and 295 lb-ft of torque.

We’re not sure what the production model will be powered by, however, we’re pretty sure it won’t be a plug-in hybrid system.

The 2013 Cadillac XTS will go into production in Oshawa, Ontario in spring 2012.
