Hyundai is no stranger to stealing headlines and market share from its Japanese rivals. According to a report by Auto Motor und Sport, Hyundai is getting ready to launch a competitor to the upcoming Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid, which will hit markets sometime next year.
The Hyundai plug-in hybrid will be based on the new i30 that was revealed at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Hyundai i30 plug-in hybrid is scheduled to launch in late 2012, with its European launch timed for 2013.
