Hyundai i30 plug-in hybrid to debut late 2012, will be cheaper than Prius plug-in hybrid
Hyundai is no stranger to stealing headlines and market share from its Japanese rivals. According to a report by Auto Motor und Sport, Hyundai is getting ready to launch a competitor to the upcoming Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid, which will hit markets sometime next year.
The Hyundai plug-in hybrid will be based on the new i30 that was revealed at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Hyundai i30 plug-in hybrid is scheduled to launch in late 2012, with its European launch timed for 2013.

While no technical details are available as of yet, it is said that the Hyundai i30 will be cheapest plug-in hybrid in Europe and will undercut the price of the Prius plug-in hybrid.
