In 2006, Genreal Motors became well known for its famous 2.0 LNF liter 4-cylinder Ecotec engine that pumped out 260-hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. Word on the street is that GM is now working on an all-new 2.0 liter turbo engine.

A version of the 2.0 liter LNF 4-cylinder is still found in the Buick Regal Turbo and the Buick Regal GS. In the Regal GS, the engine produces 270-hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. But this isn’t the all-new 2.0 liter turbo engine we’re talking about.

Sources say that GM is working on an all-new 2.0 liter Ecotec turbo engine. Insiders say that the new engine will produce between 270-hp and 280-hp. The engine is rumored to have an all-new design and wil be a part of a new family of Ecotec 4-cylinders.

Congratulations GM to reviving that 2.0L that was left over from the now defunct Saturn SKY.
