Along with Alfa Romeo, Fiat Group’s other global brand in the alliance is Jeep. At a recent investor presentation in Germany, Fiat unveiled some future product plans for Jeep, most of which we’re already pretty aware of.
Under the plan, Jeep will expand its portfolio beyond the current one consisting of the Compass, Liberty, Patriot, Wrangler and Grand Cherokee. All of this is a part of Jeep’s plans to double global sales from 400,000 units in 2010 to around 800,000 in 2014.
In 2014, Jeep’s lineup will get a new B-segment SUV that will compete with likes of this Nissan Juke. A C-segment SUV will also join the lineup to replace the current Compass and Patriot. A new D-segment model will be introduced to replace the liberty along with updated versions of the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee. Finally, Jeep will introduce the range-topping Grand Wagoneer in 2014.
The Jeep Grand Wagoneer will be a 7-passenger SUV that will be built on the Dodge Durango platform.
