Report: Nissan of Europe working ‘Super Juke’ with GT-R engine

Nissan Super Juke

Automobile manufacturers will often create one-off concepts or prototypes that are so ridiculous, you’d wonder even why they did it in the first place. And this bit of news is somewhat similar. Nissan of Europe is supposedly in the works of creating a unique one-of-a-kind high-powered Juke crossover.

Ok, high-powered. So you’re probably thinking a turbocharged four-cylinder with more than 300-hp and AWD or something. Nope. This new study consists of a Nissan Juke with the GT-R’s twin-turbocharged V6 monster and transmission. Yup, you read that right.

Internally called the “Super Juke,” it produces 520hp and is said to accelerate to 60 mph in less than four seconds. Blimey! This is similar to when Volkswagen threw in a Bentley Continental GT W12 engine in the middle of a run-of-the-mill GTI as an experiment.

As crazy and far-fetched this idea is for Nissan, it actually isn’t a bad one. In fact, had this car been put into production a little earlier, Nissan could’ve potentially made a fighter against the Subaru WRX STi or the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. And they still can. Make this happen Nissan!
