2012 Rough Stage 3 Mustang Hyper-Series gets up to 540-hp

Roush has a knack with Mustangs that only a few other tuning companies can match, which is why their latest vehicle package will very much interest fans and owners alike.

The Roush Stage 3 Hyper-Series vehicle package is more than just skin deep. As usual, the 2012 Mustang receives three unique paint options: Mat It Mango, Gas It Green, Punch It Purple and Launch It Lemon. Sounds like a bit of a beach martini bar. With the special colors come unique decal designs and stripes and bespoke interior appointments like suede door panels, shift boot stitching and custom shift knobs.

Under the hood lies a new TVS 2.3L ROUSHcharger that bumps the 5.0L V8 up to 540-hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. Also fitted are custom ROUSH-calibrated shocks and other suspension bits, both of which lowers the ride height and allows the Mustang to achieve up to 1 G’s in lateral force on a dry skid pad.
