The 2011 Tokyo Motor Show in october may not have a lot of American automaker’s showing up, but domestic automakers will be shining. Reports suggest that Toyota and Lexus have some interesting debuts scheduled for the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show including a special-edition Lexus LFA and a likely Supra replacement.

Known as the Lexus LFA Tokyo Edition, the special-edition supercar will get a carbon fiber roof, rear spoiler, and other touches to differentiate it from the ‘regular’ LFA.

A roadster version of the Lexus LFA was expected to debut in Tokyo, but the model has reportedly been shelved due to the economic uncertainty in markets around the world.

Now don’t confuse this next car with the Toyota FT-86, which will debut in Tokyo in production form. CAR Magazine has learned that Toyota is indeed working on a successor to the Supra and the Japanese automaker may show us something in Tokyo – in concept form. A Supra replacement is expected to debut sometime in 2014.
