Besides showing the Fisker Surf at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, the automaker announced that the convertible version of the Karma – the Fisker Sunset – will arrive in 2013. The news was confirmed bycompany CEO Henrik Fisker yesterday at the Frankfurt auto show.

The Fisker Sunset will serve as a halo car for the company’s lineup.

Refresher: Power for the Fisker Sunset comes from Fisker’s Q-DRIVE system, which is made up of two 201-hp electric-motors that are powered by a lithium-ion battery pack. That allows the Karma to travel up to 50 miles without the use of any gasoline. A generator attached to a 260-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter Ecotec direct injection gasoline engine by General Motors provides an extended range of up to 300 miles. 0 to 60 mph comes in 5.8 seconds with a top speed of 125 mph.

    Dear Fisker,

We’ve already given you the thumbs up based on the preliminary conceptual images that you had previously shared with us all.
So, stop wasting time on the hideous 4doorFF and put more effort in getting the convertible completed.
    Nuff said.
