Now I’ll be the first to admit that Jaguar’s don’t really tickle my fancy as they do of our Senior Editor Chris Chin – however, when I first laid my eyes on the new Jaguar C-X16 Concept last night – I was very impressed.

Lucky for me – and Chris – Jaguar has just dropped a video of the new C-X16 Concept in action.

Hit the jump for the video.

Check out our original post on the Jaguar C-X16 Concept here.

Refresher: The Jaguar C-X16 Concept is powered by a 3.0 liter supercharged V6 engine making 375-hp with a maximum torque of 332 lb-ft. The engine is mated to an 8-speed transmission, which has a motor generator that draws power from a 1.6 kWh battery pack. The battery charges through a brake energy regeneration system, and allows for an extra 94-hp and 173 lb-ft of torque. 0 to 62 mph comes in just 4.4 seconds with a top speed of 185 mph. Acceleration from 50 to 75 mph takes just 2.1 seconds. Jaguar says that the C-X16 is able to travel up to 50 mph under electric power alone.

I can see too many other cars and influences in its overall design XKR (which is OK as that’s family), a touch of GTR from the front (light faring, hood vents), some Aston V8 Vantage from the side (no bad thing there, actually) will have to wait and see it in the metal to gauge the size and feel.  Grade: B
However, the engine note makes the car for me a A-.
