Subaru hits attacking children

We’re not sure what started this whole debacle between a driver of Subaru and two children but here’s what the description of the video reads:

“The driver was briefly detained by the Israeli police, and was released after he claimed that he had no other choice but to ram them with his car “as he had to defend himself after the two children hurled stones at him while driving it.”

Check the video after the break.

Omar, could you stop posting these kind of videos please? Many people like to read ‘news’ and are not looking for gossip-like ‘sensation’ journalism. The fact that this site is heavily biased towards BMW is fine, many other sites have their own bias also (Autoweek seems to prefer the VW-family), but please refrain from posting burned cars, crashes of expensive cars, and other non-autonews. That would increase the respect and value of your website as a whole, even internationally. While you are at it, could you maybe try to make the automatic download of accelerators and other add-ons optional, so that the page loads as fast as it was a few years back? That would be highly appreciated, thanks!

I kinda agree with gekke, do whatever you want but doing a “backpage” like leftlane (sorry for mentioning another site) would allow those who want to read this stuff to go to a separate section for this kind of news, while a the main page/articles remain more auto news worthy…. Btw i liked it when the pictures just popped up instead of having to go to a separate window or different page. its kinda annoying going back and forth so i just don’t look at the pics anymore. But enough complaining… I’m here everyday, still a great site

It’s something we recently decided to try out a little since most people like a little break from everyday automotive news. I agree that we can break this down into another section and we’ll try to get something sorted out for that.

As for the pictures, we had many complaints in the past that people want to view the pictures right here in the articles rather then go to flickr to view the high-res photos or download them for their wallpaper usage. This is why we created the new gallery pages. We are currently working on speeding up the time of the gallery pages and taking out a bunch of things from the sidebar to increase the load time on those pages. We are also considering adding Ajax so the pages don’t reload fully.

We appreciate your feedback and want to know more. So if you have any other suggestions please drop them anywhere in the comments section because we’re reading them.

i just wonder what kind of feedback you would get if the roles were reversed i.e. a Palestinian driver  running down Israeli settler children who were throwing stones at his car
