BMW recalls 241,000 3-Series units over rear-light defect

2006 BMW 3-Series

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced that BMW is recalling 241,000 3-Series units due to an issue with the rear-light.

The recall covers the 325i, 325xi, 330i and 330xi from the 2002-2005 model year.

BMW told the NHTSA that the lights including tail, brake and turn signals may only work intermittently on the recalled cars. This “reduces the ability to warn other motorists of the driver’s intentions” and “could cause a vehicle to crash without warning.”
