Toyota teams up with Trail Teams, unveils new special edition FJ Cruiser

Toyota’s history of making extremely durable and rugged off-road vehicles is just as prominent as Jeep’s or Land Rover’s. Now, Toyota has teamed up with Trail Teams to come up with a special edition FJ Cruiser.

The 2012 Toyota FJ Cruiser Trail Teams Special Edition is only offered in a special Radian Red paint scheme with black painted door handles, bumpers and front grille. A set of roof-mounted off-road driving lights was also equipped to help improve driver visibility at night.

The FJ Cruiser’s standard 4.0L V6 that’s good for 260hp gets a special cyclone pre-air cleaner to keep dirt from entering the intake. Additionally, the off-road package also includes Bilstein shocks, TRD wheels with BFG All-Terrains, rock rails and skit plates for the engine, fuel tank and transfer case. Also made standard is Toyota’s A-TRAC traction control system and a locking rear diff.

On the inside, Toyota’s multi-information display comes standard as well s cruise control, remote keyless entry, integrated outlets to power any auxiliaries, a back-up camera in the rear-view and much more.
