2012 Ram Cargo Van enters production

Dodge Ram has just unveiled its own version of a panel-wagon cargo van and although it looks like a Dodge, the Auburn Hills make doesn’t market it as such. In fact, it’s marketed the Ram C/V, which stands for Ram Cargo Van despite it looking like a Dodge Caravan with painted over-windows.

The Ram C/V will be powered by Chrysler’s latest Pentastar V6 and is considered a Class 1 commercial vehicle. That means the Ram C/V offers 1,800 pounds of cargo capacity while also offering 3,600 pounds worth of towing capacity all while maintaining 25 mpg on the highway.

The Ram C/V features some upgraded equipment like a heavy-duty radiator and transmission cooler.

The 2012 Ram Cargo Van will go on sale in the third quarter of 2011.
