2012 Lancia Thema is a Chrysler 300 wearing an Italian badge

We already know that due to Fiat’s ties with Chrysler, Fiat will be rebadging some of Chrysler’s cars as Lancias in Europe. So just before its debut, Chrysler Lancia has just previewed its 300 Thema sedan, which is a serious case of simple rebadging.

When the Thema is launched at dealers throughout Europe in October, the “Chryancia Threema” will be available in Gold, Platinum and Executive trims.

The engines include Chrysler’s Pentastar 3.6L V6 that’s good for 286hp and is mated to an 8-speed automatic while two diesels are the other two. Both are 3.0L V6s but are tuned to 190hp and 239hp guise.

More information is expected to pop up at the official debut at Frankfurt next month.
