2011 Mini Paceman Concept

Mini’s chief brand manager Kay Segler has just made announcement saying that the Mini Paceman concept, which debuted this past year at the Detroit Motor Show, was given the green light for production.

With its increased ride height and its two-door design, the Paceman is essentially a two-door Countryman.

It will be built by Magna Steyr, in Graz, Austria, which is the same bunch that still builds the Mercedes-Benz Gelandewagen. Additionally, the Paceman is said to be possibly getting a new name before it hits showrooms in 2013 or 2014.
