Land Rover DC100 previews next-generation Defender

After all the rumors and reports, Land Rover has just confirmed that the Defender model will march on. A preview of the future direction of the Defender will be previewed by the new Land Rover DC100 Concept at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.

“Replacing the iconic Defender is one of the biggest challenges in the automotive design world; it is a car that inspires people worldwide,” said Gerry McGovern, Director of Design, Land Rover. “This isn’t a production-ready concept but the beginning of a four-year journey to design a relevant Defender for the 21st century.”
