Cadillac CTS-V Coupe - Ferrari 458 Italia

A new teaser video is out from General Motors’ Cadillac luxury brand. Since Cadillac has been seeing some great success from their latest cars, Cadillac’s pursuit to continue fighting with the top dogs has yet to cease.

In the video, you can see a new CTS-V powering around a closed race circuit. It’s competing track mate: a Ferrari 458 Italia. The new ad spot clearly suggests that Cadillac is aiming directly for Ferrari.

As to what comes from these efforts, is still to be determined.

if the scuderia is really in gm’s crosshairs, why fight in production car arena? step up to the big leagues and gun for ferrari in f1. if u’re going to race, then race in motorsport’s pinnacle series.

production cars vary too greatly with different engine philosophies, etc. instead race in a spec formula (all the same rules) and see who’s the best

um, gm’s participation in left hand turn only series does NOT count as racing. a manufacturer’s chassis needs a more stress than ovals
