Report: BMW planning to launch app for music on demand

Online-music-service provider MOG is working with BMW to create a new application for the luxury brand’s cars. The purpose behind the app is to provide drivers with on-demand, streaming music for their car.

The BMW 6-series, set to release this fall, will the first to feature the application. It will be ad-free unlimited listening, and feature mobile storage for music, search and tag functions, listening to curated content.

Expect to see this new app is BMW’s that have the new BMW Apps smart-phone integration option and navigation.

In the U.S., BMW owners with an existing navigation system will be able to download the app and use an iPhone connected with a USB to access MOG.
