Chrysler releases photos of new Lancia-based Delta for UK only

2012 Chrysler Delta
Back in 2010 during the Detroit Motor Show, Chrysler gave a surprise by showing the Lancia Delta hatchback rebadged as a Chrysler. Now, the Auburn Hills make has just released photos of the new Chrysler Delta and despite its showing in Detroit, the Delta won’t be sold here in the US of A.

The Chrysler Delta will actually be offered in the UK only where all Lancia automobiles will be rebadged, sold and marketed as Chryslers.

Engines available include a 1.4L four banger that are offered in 120hp and 140hp guise—most likely from Fiat—while two turbodiesel fours are offered in 1.6L 120hp and a 2.0L 200hp form. Euro fuel economy ratings for the gasoline engines have yet to be released, but the diesels are said to be capable of delivering up to a US equivalent of 51.1 mpg.

Prices will be released closer to the UK launch date, which is expected to happen very soon.
