2011 Hyundai Sonata

Here’s an interesting bit of news. Despite Hyundai’s recent gargantuan success, the brand did face some problems with its most popular model, the Sonata. According to Hyundai themselves, they received complaints from some of their customers for the way their new Sonata drove.

Specifically, the complaints went to the way the Sonata tracked as it drove on the road. Customers complained that their cars experienced a condition where the car would consistently pull to the left.

Hyundai said that they will begin to notify the affected owners of a fix that may consist of a completely new front suspension including struts and a wheel alignment. All will be covered for free and should only take 4 hours to complete.

Did he say 45 hours to fix?!

Thanks for bringing that up! Small typo, and fixed. If I had that problem, I wouldn’t mind demoing a Genesis of some sort to make up for those 45 hours :P

Interesting that I was in a Hyundai dealer looking at a Sonata last week and when I mentioned the steering issue he acted surprised and said “he hadn’t heard about that”.
I immediately felt lied to and walked out.
