Chrysler to add 1,100 new jobs at Toledo plant

Chrysler Toledo Plant

Chrysler is doing well for themselves and to help represent this, the Auburn Hills make said that they will be looking to add 1,100 new jobs by expanding its Toledo Assembly Complex.

“We know that our community is competing with other areas which are vying for this impressive project,” Toledo Deputy Mayor Thomas Crothers said.

In return for the potential investment, the city of Toledo said that they will offer Chrysler $15.4 million in tax abatements, grants and other incentives over the next 15 years.

The cars built at the Toledo plant are the Jeep Liberty and the Dodge Nitro. Part of this investment is also to make way for the all-new Jeep Liberty, which will be based on a Fiat platform in 2013.
