The Hyundai i30 has been on sale since 2007 all throughout the world, except for the US of A. Hyundai however has just announced that they might introducing the next-generation i30 to US soil.
The next-generation i30 regardless makes its official debut later this year at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. It was designed and built by Hyundai Motor’s European Technical Center in Germany.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw a version of the i30 sometime next year in the U.S. market,” said Miles Johnson, a Hyundai Motor America spokesman.
The new i30 shares a platform with the Elantra and here, we already get a small hint of what the i30 is like because our new Elantra Touring is based on the original i30 wagon.
No other details have been released as of yet, but of course we can expect more to trickle down our way as we get closer to the Frankfurt Motor Show.
