Chrysler recalls almost 300,000 minivans

2008 Chrysler Town & Country

Almost 300,000 minivans are being recalled by Chrysler in efforts to avoid a potential problem. After two incidents in the past nine months, the brand has determined that there may be a problem with the heating and air conditioning system.

Letters were sent out to regulators in regards to the problem, where the heating and air conditioning systems have condensation that may leak onto a sensor, which can cause a warning light to turn on and event he air bag to deploy.

North American dealers will make complimentary adjustments to those that own 2008 Town and Country, Grand Voyager, and Dodge Grand Caravan models.

Previously, the same vehicles were recalled for drain tube replacement in the heating and cooling system to avoid the possibility of the condensation.
