Chevrolet Spark coming to the United States as a 2013 model

While General Motors officially confirmed two new Cadillac models – the ATS and the XTS – earlier today, they don’t know release any official press releases on another U.S. bound car known as the Chevrolet Spark.

The Spark was confirmed to hit U.S. shores earlier today via Twitter. General Motors North America President Mark Reuss said that the car will be built in the first half of next year as a 2013 model.

“Spark minicar will give Chevrolet A-B-C-D-E segment coverage for the first time in the U.S.,” Jason Laird, GM’s executive director of North American product communications, tweeted.

The Chevrolet Spark will give GM a competitor to the upcoming Scion iQ.
